About me.

There are three things which motivate and define me:

Worship, Prayer and Wales.

I became a Christian in 1980, at the age of sixteen.

Very soon I began writing worship songs and helping to lead worship.

My passion for worship remains undimmed 40 years later.

For at least 38 years I have been leading worship in different settings;

in churches, summer camps and prayer events, often with children.

I have been privileged to lead alongside my friend, Greg Leavers,

who is a gifted and passionate worship leader.

One year into my Christian life, I read 'Why Revival Tarries', by Leonard Ravenhill.  This launched a lifelong passion for prayer in me.

I believe prayer is central to all of God's work.  I love taking part in prayer events, usually combined with worship, and often with children.

I began learning Welsh while still living in England,

little knowing then how important it would prove to be.

After graduating in 1991 from Cardiff University, I moved to North Wales.

Since then, I have become progressively more fluent in Welsh, and have helped to lead worship bi-lingually in many places.

A significant one of these has been the Welsh-English reconciliation workshops led by Rhiannon Lloyd.

(See her website here: 'Healing Hearts, Transforming Nations')

During the 2008 workshop, I began translating my first Welsh hymn.  This has been followed by about a dozen more!

Music CDs

I began work on my first CD in 2010, inspired by Parental Care Ministries.

The CD is called 'I Let Go', and is available for £10.

Every purchase raises £5 to support education and self-sustaining work for orphan children in Uganda.

I am currently at work on my second CD, entitled 'Together'

This was inspired by the work of Shevet Achim, which is Hebrew for 'Dwelling Together' (see Psalm 133).This charity provide life-saving heart operations in Israel for children from countries across the Middle East.

Although this CD is not directly to raise funds, I and my church have a personal interest in supporting their work, as my daughter worked with them on her gap year before medical school.

Music arranging

Since 2006 I have been using 'Finale' software to create music arrangements for choir, piano and vocal, and orchestral groups.

I have worked on arrangements for a number of children's songbooks, including 'Our Father God'; a bilingual songbook for Bangor Dicoese, and 'Cyntaf a'r Olaf' for the Presbyterian Church of Wales.

If you'd like me to arrange any music for you, please contact me. I will be happy to discuss prices and produce a copy that satisfies your needs.

I also have a YouTube channel, which is currently being updated.
